Contest own charakter Nacken

Näcken The water demon
In Sweden we call him Näcken but he goes by more names, beautiful men, wonderful players of instruments. A creature that loves to play tricks and is by nature evil and is not allowed in to heaven for their actions. They like luring people, especially women down their waters where they drown them, it’s a game for them that they enjoy very much. To use their powers and skills of their music, looks and cunning minds to control and enchant humans. They look down on them, seeing them as lowest in the chain.

They live in the water and can’t be away from it for to long because they will get weak and restless. They like living alone and so you can only find one at a time, they are very “narcissism”.

Now, in modern days most of them is thrilled over how much people party, drink and how sex appeal is overestimated. They love being a center of attentions and have power over others, they like playing game with them, make them want more and like to drag it all out until they finally lure them to their waters to drown them. Now a days no one even think about the myth Näcken, they don’t believe in them, so no one comes to their waters on 3 Thursdays in a row to ask for his guidance and teaching over instruments, but lucky for the humans because if they did they would be cursed to play for all eternity, enchanted by the beautiful songs they’ve learned.
But some of the Näcken men goes around teaching greedy musicians to play, for something in return.

The war between nonhumans and humans, Näcken would see it as a opportunity to be more aggressive with their killing showing everyone that they got most skills with killing because of course they are superiors(what they think because of their Narcissism). Right now they have to be a bit passive to not allure people of their presence and plans on how to kill them, they don’t want to scare them off.

The character (Nyx)
Nyx is feed up with all humans, they have become to stupid, to easy targets.
He loves to just relax nude in his water where no human comes, sulking, crying, thinking about old times and enchanting himself with his own wonderful flute play. He has pretty much given up on living, but what can he do, he cannot enter heaven and is trapped on earth. Once in a while he always enjoy dragging people down his water and find it very amusing and laughs at them while they sink and the water have gotten a steady grip on them.

He aren’t completely alone though, he got a “bäckahäst” as his company, a stunning white horse with long silver mane and black eyes. There is not much of a conversation between them, but they enjoy each other’s company and they share the same interest, luring humans down their waters. Though “bäckahästen” prefers children to jump up on his back and jump down with them.

Sometimes he goes around in a nearby city to check if there is anyone interesting but he never has any luck, until he saw Hazel in the forest while he was walking around with “bäckahästen”. A beautiful blond woman, when interacting with her, seeing her intellectual and hearing her singing HE got enchanted by her. Finally a woman how could match his standard. Now how would he get her to the water? Hazel is afraid of water you see, so this will be a big challenge. But the question is if he would dare to drown her (or if he even could, because she isn’t human), because maybe this woman is the one for him? Will he change himself for her? Will she be his ticket to finally be able to enter the heaven and get peace or is it to late for him, forever doomed. One more problem, Hazel already has a love interest, so his love is one-sided.
He wants her for himself and will try anything to seduce her. He wants her to be his company, so she can sing when he plays the flute, to listen to all his stories about how “awesome” he is and entertain him. He doesn’t know what true love is or how to treat someone he loves/cares about.
So instead he is pushy and possessive and trying to use his charm A LOT.

He does not precisely care about the war between humans and nonhumans. If he have to choose it would be the nonhuman side, because he despise humans.

I have most the Swedish myth in mind when coming up with this, that’s why I call this species Näcken. 
